Welcome To ICME2011I would like to take this opportunity to express my warmest welcome on behalf of the College of Engineering, University of Tehran to all the university professors, researchers, students, professionals and individuals from this country and abroad who have shown interest in ICME 2011 conference.
Manufacturing engineering plays an effective and important role in the industrial and economical future of this country. Almost all other branches of engineering, in one way or another, have something to do with the manufacturing engineering.
The College of Engineering, University of Tehran has a long standing, effective, important and historical role in the Iranian society. It is my great pleasure that the College of Engineering is hosting the ICME 2011 which provides a unique opportunity for new ideas, designs, research outcomes and scientific and technological findings to be presented for critical scientific discussion in line with the present and future industrial needs, commercialization of scientific outcomes and the transformation of science and technology into wealth.
I sincerely wish that with the effective participation of academia and professionals in an international scale, the output of this conference illustrates the important role and impact of manufacturing engineering in the sustainable development of this country.Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to authors, reviewers, and members of the scientific and organizing committee and participants of the conference.

Selected English papers from ICME2011 conference proceedings will be published in “Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures” and “International Journal of Computational Methods in Engineering Science and Mechanics” from Taylor and Francis Publications with Prof. Reddy as chief editor.
